Lars Breuer (1972) studied Cultural Studies, Politics and Sociology in Lüneburg, Roskilde (Denmark) and Berlin. Graduated with a thesis about the 1999 debate on dual citizenship in Germany. Different political and educational projects mainly in the fields of national identity, politics of remembrance and post-Holocaust anti-Semitism.
2004-2006 research assistant, working on the Danish case study of the project “International Traditions of Historical Consciousness”.
2007-2009 research fellow of the "Forschungsgruppe Mensch" at Dortmund University.
Since 2009 PhD fellow at the CMR within the project “Europeanization of National Memory Scapes”. The dissertation’s working title is: “German and Polish “Memory from Below”: Auto- and Hetero-Stereotypes in the Context of European Memory Cultures”.
