Bettina Noack

Bettina Noack studied Communication, German and Modern History at the University of Essen. In 2002 she got her Master of Arts with distinction. The subject of her paper was an analogy between film editing and historiography.

She has been working as a research assistant at the department of German Literature at the University of Duisburg-Essen since january 2004 and teaches in Film Studies.

At the CMR she has been working on the project "Europeanization of National Memory Scapes" since 2005.

Her PhD thesis deals with the appearance of recollective images in films about World Wars One and Two.
