Felix Römer

Felix Römer was born in Hamburg in 1978 and studied Medieval and Contemporary History, German Literature and Ancient History in Kiel and Lyon. He completed his Phd thesis on the Kommissarbefehl in 2007 at the Universities of Kiel and Freiburg i. Brsg. (supported by the Graduiertenförderung of Schleswig-Holstein, 2004 and Gerda Henkel Foundation, 2004-2007). Felix now works in the research project "Perceptions of War and Collective Biographies" at the University of Mainz and is supported by the Fritz Thyssen Foundation.

Felix teaches at the Historical Seminar of the University of Mainz since 2008 and worked at the German Historical Institute Washington D.C. during the winter 2008/2009.
