Annett Entzian studied Sociology, Law and Geography at Marburg University. In her diploma thesis she analyzed individual behaviour in everyday life and patterns of biography with the help of qualitative methods.
Additionally, she was student assistant as well as mentor for empirical social research at the Faculty of Geography and the Department of Sociology at Marburg University.
Since 2008 she works on her PhD thesis within the frame of the project Climate and Culture at the Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities (KWI) in Essen.
In particular her research brings into focus environmental sociology, development of society, sociology of gender, economic geography and sociology of space.
