Ingo Haltermann

Ingo Haltermann (born in 1978) studied Geography, Political Science and Ecology at the University of  Münster. His Diploma-Thesis dealed with the African Unions impact on political and institutional development. Afterwards he passed a post-graduate study of Peace and Conflict at the FernUni Hagen.

Since 2009 Ingo Haltermann is a research fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities (KWI) in Essen, where he focuses on desaster memories in Accra/Ghana as a part of the KWIs Climate and Culture program

His main fields of study are Climate Impact Research, Peace and Conflict Studies and Development Studies. Hereby he focuses especially on Africa.
