Florian A. Hessel studies Social Sciences (Diploma) in the fields of Sociology, Political Science, Social & Economic History, Statistics & Methodology, and Social Psychology. Furthermore he takes BA-courses in Philosophy and Orientalism, all at the Ruhr-University Bochum.
Since 2009 he is a research assistant for the project Frames of Reference of Help at the Center for Interdisciplinary Memory Research (CMR) at the Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities (KWI) in Essen.
