Funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research
The research project SPREAD deals with the conditions and the progression of alternative energy innovations. It is based on a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods (e.g. individual and group interviews, a survey by questionnaire, agent-based modelling and scenario simulation). The project is going to analyse why and how, primarily local and regional stimuli spread successfully. Its aim is to develop a model that provides information about social and cultural potentials for a shift towards an expansion of renewable energy in Germany.
